IPL3. Day 11. Match 17. KKR Vs MI

Mumbai Indians 156 for 3 beat Kolkatta Knight Riders 155 for 3 by seven wickets, to seal their 3rd victory in four matches vaulting to the top of the table.
Ganguly won the toss and elected to bat first. His post toss judgement that the ball will come slow of the wicket and keep low in the later half was just right. Gayle joined the squad and batted upfront with Ganguly. Their play was steady but not spectacular. Ganguly made 34 of 14 and Gayle 75 of 60. Owasis made a compact 31 of 23. KKR finished their quota of 20 overs at 155 for 3. Ganguly playing upfront mystifies me. He is much slower now and the graceful pulls and lofted shots dancing down the wicket are missing. Mumbai Indians bowled and fielded professionally. Zaheer was the pick of the lot with an excellent spell of Harbajan bowled his 4 overs tightly and finished at

Mumbai Indians did not repeat the mistake committed against Royal Challengers. Tendulkar was at his supreme best, with an unbeaten 71 of 48 deliveries. He thrashed Ishant to all the parts of the ground. Ishant had a sorry The two wikets were due to excellent catches taken by Ganguly. The catch to dismiss young Tiwary who made a brisk 30 of 24,was an Album material. Shikar Dhawan started brilliantly and made a reasonable 23 of 21. Satish towards the end made a strokeful 21 of 11. I have been watching Satish both in the ICL as well as IPL now. He is a compact all rounder, and an excellent fielder to boot.

Mumbai Indians are riding high at this point and will be the team to beat.
