IPL3. Day 13. Match 19. Rajasthan Royals Vs Kings XI

Kings XI won the toss and on a batting beauty, Sangakara asked Royals to bat. The Aussie touch of professionalism was seen in Royals approach today. There were no slam bang stuff. Almost all the shots were out of the cricket book. Lumb 41 out of 30, Yousuf 28 out of 19, Fazal 45 out of 38 and Adam Vogues 45 out of 24, all contributed for a team total of 183 for 5.

Sreesanth bowled sensibly and with fire for 3.0.20.1. Piyush bowled intelligently for 4.0.29.1, and Juan Theron on a consistent line at 4.0.25.0 . As usual Irfan was inconsistent and conceded 45 runs with out a wicket in four. Shrivatsava gave away 50 in four for a wicket. Two run outs of Dogra and Fazal were by Piyush, who was brilliant in the field.
Kings XI started off brilliantly with hurricane knocks by Sangakara 29 of 13 and 35 of 18 by Bisla. Bopara made a patient 25 of 26. At 102 for 2 of ten overs, it appeared as if everything was over for the Royals. Astute captaincy by Warne, accurate bowling by young Trivedi, excellent middle over bowling by the spinners Voges and Yousuf, supported by all fielders with good catching, brought down Kings XI for a miserable 152 all out. Royals won the match comfortably by 31 runs. Trivedi was the pick of the bowlers at 4.0.25.2. Tait took 3 for 22 of 3.1 and Yousuf picked up 2 for 9 runs in 2 overs.

Kings XI just does not have it in them to win matches. May be Preity should keep herself away from the dugout and stay put in the box. For any chance to be in the top four finishers, Kings XI should win at least 70 % of the remaining matches, which appear to be a tall order now. Any way this is T 20 and things can change overnight.
