IPL3-Day 15. Match22. Deccan Chargers Vs Rajasthan Royals

Royals are back. At their backyard in Ahemedabad, they systematically annihilated Deccan Chargers.

DC won the toss and elected to bat on a batting beauty. Gilchrist perished in the first over caught brilliantly by Yosuf of Narwal for 1. Lakshman prodded for his 10 in 12. Lakshman accept the fact. Whereas you are a good Test Match player, limited over games are not your cup of tea.

Gibbs and Symmonds steadied the batting making 25 of 14 and 22 of 14. Gibbs was foxed by a Warne Googly to be stumped, Symmonds fell for a direct throw from long on. I wonder what Rohit has done in IPL or for that matter in limited over cricket in recent times to command a place in the Indian team. Two good players in form, Virat and Manish Pandey or for that matter even Saurab Tiwary lost their place in the Indian T20 team. Rohit once again scratched a 49 of 45 with streaky shots and a life. DC finished at 148 fr 9.

For Royals Tait, Narwal and Warne were among wickets. Narwal bowled well for 4.0.35.2, Tait at his fast best of 4.0.22.3 and Warne with his magical 4.0.15.1. Brilliant fielding resulted in 3 run outs.

Royals scored 151 for 2 and won by 8 wickets in 15.4 overs. Lumb scored a quickfire 45 in 32 and Yousuf bulldozed to an unbeaten 73 of 24 with 8 sixes. Nothing of note in bowling front by DC. On this day they were outplayed in all respects, which Gilchrist acknowledged with all grace in the post match interview.

The Royals have started peaking and with Aaron Finch the 23 year old, hard hitting Victorian, joining them in place of Smith, they look a strong outfit for top finish now. Do well Royals, I always admired your team which boasted of no stars, but still gave it's best.
