C L T20. Day2, Match3. Central Districts NZ vs Chennai Super Kings

In a clinical display of total cricket, Chennai Super Kings 151 for 4, beat Central Districts NZ 94 all out by 57 runs.

The square at Kingsmead Durban, was juicy with a good lift of the pitch and swing of the air. CSK found themselves in the back foot with 2 down for 5 in the second and 3 down for 40 in the 9th over. The out field was slow due to earlier drizzle.

Young Anirudha Srikanth, made his father proud by playing fearlessly and effectively for 42 of 29. His type of play rubbed also on Badrinath, who batted intelligently for an unbeaten 52 of 42. Morkel blasted 26 of 15. CSK finished with a healthy 151 for 4. Bracewell 2 for 28 was supported by Mason and Milne with a wicket each. The Central Districts were brilliant in the field and must have saved more than 20 runs by excellent fielding at the rope.

CSK bowlers were at the best, restricting the Central Districts for 94. Bollinger was unplayable with 2 for 10, well supported by balaji 3 for 20, Ashwin 2 for 28 and Morkel 1 for 20. Murali the Magician needs no mention and was at his usual best with 2 for 15, pocketing Sinclair & Barnett in the eighth over . Bracewell and Mason added 38 runs at the later stage which was the only bright spot in Central innings.

CSK is in a tougher half and the good win will go well as the tournament progresses.
